Started at Studio 921: September 2003

I came to Studio 921 in September of 2003.  When I first walked in and saw how beautiful and spacious this salon was, I knew this was where I wanted to spend my days.  With so many windows, the natural light flows through and you don't feel like you are locked up inside all day!  I'm still here, not for the windows, but because of the people that surround me on a day to day basis.  Our stylists aren't here today gone tomorrow, they have all been here as long as I have and longer. 

I am one of those people that enjoys my job.  I love the people I work with and I love my clients, we have become a family.  I enjoy being around people and nothing pleases me more than to change the way someone feels about themselves with a pair of shears, a dab of color, a wax strip, or a bottle of nail polish.  It is amazing how far a little TLC can go.  I pride myself on the lasting relationships I have made with my clients, discovering their needs and good communication are the key ingredients.

I have had my hands in somebody's hair for as long as I can remember, long before I ever got a license to do so.  However, out of Highschool I joined the Army as a Military Police (my clients still can't believe that one).  I was an MP for five years, still messing with hair in my barracks room, then decided to have children and get a license to do what I really loved.  When I went to Cosmotology school after being in the Army my mom said "Of course!" ,while others said "What? A hairstylist?".  I truly believe if you ENJOY what you do, it will reflect in the outcome of your work!
